"Aftershock" is a heartwarming and touching disaster film,
based on the Tangshan Earthquake in 1976, of the undying
desire of the Chinese people to overcome devastation,
and the act of forgiveness between human beings.
Initially, I was pretty much skeptical about watching this film
as to question whether China film could really derives the
kind of earthquake experience scene as compared to those
Hollywood's films?
However, director Feng Xiao Gang evidently did shake off
my worries by giving the audience a heartwarming and
absorbing story of a mother's love, who is forced and struggled
in a dilemma state having to choose to save between her twin son
or daughter, trapped under the same pillar during the earthquake.
.

And finally, the mother make the most difficult decision of her
entire life by saving her son instead of her daughter.
Figuratively speaking, I am feeling pretty much annoying to
believe the facts that boys are still very much preferred over
girls as reflected on the mindset of many people, when both
gender are supposedly be treated as equally important,
just like a blessing from God to the parents.
.

Well, what touches me most is the emotional scene based
story on the family, where the act of reconciliation and
forgiveness takes place between the mother and daughter,
as it became a classic emotional scene of the entire movie.
And I SWEAR, it's definitely one of the best films I've watch
so far this year, simply because the storyline was great,
visuals were excellent, and most importantly a tearjerker that
makes me cried buckets of tears while watching the film.
The movie shall speaks for itself, relax now and enjoy the trailer!
